JAX Innovation Award 2008-20,000 euros for innovative contributions on Java, Eclipse and SOA

(prcenter.de) Frankfurt am Main, 9 January 2008: In 2008 Software & Support Verlag again rewards innovative contributions on Java, Eclipse and SOA with 20,000 euros. The JAX Innovation Award aims at supporting European IT projects and enhance their chances to succeed.
In the tension-filled area between North America and Asia the vital European IT market breeds innovative companies and ranges amongst the pioneers in the use and development of (open source) software. The JAX Innovation Award offers companies, research institutions and individuals in Europe the possibility, to show their creativity and innovation power and to submit a contribution on Java, Eclipse or SOA – no matter if it is a business idea, a product, a scientific research, open or closed source.
„The JAX Innovation Award is an important catalyst for the success of European projects. The award ceremony takes place at our largest conference, JAX, which attracted over 1,800 participants in 2007. In this way we can direct the attention of the European IT community and industry, represented at the exhibition, directly to the projects. We are already anxious to know which interesting projects the award will produce next year”, says Masoud Kamali, initiator of the JAX Innovation Award, CEO and founder of Software & Support Verlag.
Among the winners of the last years were projects such as i.e. Groovy, SonarJ, openArchitectureWare, BPEL-Designer, Matisse GUI Builder, Spring Framework, Bioclipse and RAP. Deadline for entries is 17 March 2008.
