Reducing dramatically the risk and the consequences of environmental pollution - in the event of accidental outflow of oil from a ship into the sea - is now possible!
An environmental-friendly system – called STOP (System Tanker Oil Pollution) – has been patented, aimed to control immediately the oil spot in the event of collision.
The systems minimize dramatically the oil pollution of the marine and coast environment for accidental causes, thanks to the availability of a floating barrier always on board of the ship, which automatically falls down in the event of collision or any other ship accident. Then the spilled out oil may be reused up to more than 90%.
Very simple idea, isn’t it?
STOP System has been patented by A&T, an Italian company dealing with hydrocarbon pollution since 1986, but this is not only a commercial or technical information. Considering the importance of the project we have decided to show all system phases also from a technical point of view on the web.
And we ask your help order to let people know that an important step into prevention of marine pollution has been made.
Please keep in mind that a tanker may spills its entire cargo – up to 120,000 tons – of crude oil into the see and this happens too often!
